I had made an offer to purchase a new home which had both a wood burning stove and a standard chimney. I had Chesapeake Chimney inspect them for me. They were very professional and thorough, and they uncovered the fact that between the chimney and the stove's flue there was as much as $20,000 worth of repairs needed to make the house safe. Due to their work and diligence I was able to avoid the purchase of a home with some very expensive hidden costs. I recommend to always get thorough inspections when purchasing a new home, and to always call Chesapeake Chimney!

They were very thorough and professional. Clearly communicated and showed us many pictures of issues the inspection revealed. Identified and reviewed our options for remediation, identifying the tradeoffs. Very knowledgeable. Strong advocate for the homeowner dealing with insurance claims. We trust them to do the work needed regardless of which option we choose.

Brian inspected my chimney and woodstove and found several issues that need to be addressed. He took pictures and clearly explained the problems and possible solutions. We have used Chesapeake Chimney since 1996 for our wood burning fireplaces, but had never had them repair a gas stove insert. The technician, Joe, was amazing! He was very honest and helpful. He diagnosed the problem with our gas fireplace and was able to fix it on the spot. He installed a new pilot assembly and repaired the switch on the wall. He was very professional and very reasonably priced, and the area was spotless when he was done.

Joseph was amazing! He serviced both of our gas fireplaces, and we can now FINALLY turn them on using the light switches. I'm so happy and just in time for the holidays. The new embers look amazing as well!

I just had Joseph and Elijah complete maintenance service and thermocouple repair on my 20 year old propane stove. They did an exceptional job of cleaning up the stove, repairing problems, and returning the stove to full functionality. I have used another Waldorf-based propane stove service and Chesapeake Chimney is much more technically competent.

Fantastic service by Cameron. My woodstove was up and running again in no time. He was polite, courteous, and so knowledgeable. Within 20 minutes of him leaving, my woodstove had roared back to life, my heat pump shut off, and my house is nice and warm. Thanks, Chesapeake Chimney!

Chesapeake Chimney installed a custom made, powder coated black chase cover and chimney cap on my house. It looks amazing, and is the perfect topper to our new roof and siding. Their prices are fair, and their customer service, communication, and craftsmanship are top notch.

Continued excellent service by Chesapeake Chimney. Brian power washed the chimney to remove the masonry discoloration, vegetation, and grime before applying two coats of a commercial grade water repellent system, while Eric replaced the rusted interior black pipe on the wood stove. Both guys repaired the chimney shoulders and added slope as needed. Very nice job!

As usual, the team at Chesapeake did a great job. Jonathan worked efficiently and explained each step. He took plenty of pictures and explained what to look out for. He kept the area around our wood stove protected and left no trace of ash. He also climbed up to the roof to check the chimney cap and brickwork.
