Masonry, Built to Last

Your chimney's masonry does more than look good — it holds the structure together and keeps water and weather out, so when the mortar crumbles or the brick starts to go, the damage only compounds. We handle the full range, from a few hours of tuck-pointing to a complete tear-down and rebuild; send a few photos and we'll size up the work.

Common Questions

Questions, Answered

The questions we hear most.

How do I know if my chimney needs masonry work?
Crumbling mortar, spalling or loose brick, a cracked crown, or staining are the common signs. Send us photos and we'll tell you what we see.
Can you rebuild just the top, or does it all have to go?
Often just the top. Many chimneys only need the section above the roofline rebuilt — we'll scope exactly what's needed and price it per the project after we see it.
What is tuck-pointing, and does my chimney need it?
Tuck-pointing is grinding out crumbling mortar joints and packing in fresh mortar. If the mortar between your bricks looks recessed, cracked, or sandy, it's time — catching it early keeps water out and stops the damage from spreading.
How long does chimney masonry work take?
It depends on the job. Tuck-pointing a section can be a few hours; a full tear-down and rebuild runs longer. Send us photos and we'll give you a realistic timeline along with your estimate.
