How long does a sweep and inspection take?

Usually about an hour and a half to two hours. It's a top-to-bottom process — interior, exterior, flue, and roof — not a quick brush and a bill.

Yes. If you're buying or selling a home with a fireplace, wood stove, or chimney, we inspect the full system and document its condition in your Chimney Health Report. One buyer's inspection turned up around $20,000 in hidden repairs before they closed.

A 20-plus-page report that walks you through the inspection with the photos we took, so you see exactly what we see — including everything that checks out fine. You review the findings with your technician.
